More occupations added to Green List

New Zealand Immigration has added more occupations to the Green List work to residence pathway. This pathway allows eligible migrants to apply for permanent residency after two years of working in New Zealand. The new occupations are considered to be nationally significant, skilled, and in high demand.

The full list of occupations added to the Green List work to residence pathway, and detailed eligibility criteria, can be found on the Immigration New Zealand (INZ) website.

Here are some of the new occupations that have been added to the Green List work to residence pathway:

  • Air traffic controllers
  • Architects
  • Civil engineers
  • Dentists
  • Electrical engineers
  • Financial analysts
  • Lawyers
  • Medical laboratory scientists
  • Nurses
  • Pharmacists
  • Software developers
  • Veterinarians

To be eligible for the Green List work to residence pathway, migrants must meet the following criteria:

  • They must have a job offer in one of the occupations on the Green List.
  • They must have a valid work visa.
  • They must meet the English language requirements.
  • They must meet the character requirements.
